Dear customers, dear friends of WACHTEL,

the second quarter of an eventful 2016 brought an encouraging number of new orders, as has been reported extensively in the Rheinische Post newspaper. As a result, we’ll remain on a growth trajectory for the second fiscal year in a row; the positive changes at WACHTEL are continuing unabated. At our Friends & Family Sommerfest, with lots of loyal customers in attendance, we officially dedicated our new, modern administrative building. These large, bright offices were designed with the idea of fostering teamwork in mind

At long last, our employees and customers will again become a part of our corporate strategy and regain their voice. We have worked diligently over the last two years to eliminate lots of entrenched habits and invest in state-of-the-art technologies: making sure our ovens and equipment are of the highest quality and producing consistent baking results are once more our top priorities. From now on, for instance, all of our factory-assembled electric ovens will be fully tested and burnt in before being put into service onsite at our customers’ bakery locations. Our objective with this quality initiative, which covers our products made entirely in Germany (in addition to Hilden near Düsseldorf, we operate a production facility in Pulsnitz near Dresden), is to support our target clientele – artisan, family-run shop bakeries – as they compete against discount supermarkets.

Our customers are contemporary, quality-focused bakeries with the highest demands for our products, our customer service technicians and sales staff. In order to meet their standards, we’ve restructured our management as well as our sales team, adding team-oriented, competent and dedicated employees ready to actively support our corporate philosophy.

We’re also innovating: in recent months, we’ve successfully introduced our high-tech control system IQ TOUCH in our upgraded and improved PICCOLO family of in-store baking ovens. GENERATION IQ stands for the combination of this control system with the WACHTEL REMOTE management tool – networked software that enables remote access. The result is more transparency, control and productivity for today’s shop bakers. It goes without saying that you’ll be able to learn more about all of these and many other key innovations at Südback. Preparations for the trade fair, which will take place in Stuttgart from 22 to 25 October 2016, are already in full swing. We look forward to seeing you there.
