Nine grade 8 students gained their very first job experience during a three day orientation visit at our company headquarter in Hilden. The purpose was to get a first impression about the job reality.
Highly interested, they listened to our educational trainer Guido Riedel who talked about the history of WACHTEL. Then our current apprentices joined the discussion and answered many questions posed by the students. After a tour of the company premises which included the production and assembly hall as well as the administrative building, the students were introduced to the various departments. They also had a chance to test their craftsmanship on some practical jobs.. They had a lot of fun tinkering, soldering and trying out our modern oven controls: “I really liked it at WACHTEL. Now I can imagine what a mechatronic engineer learns and which tasks he will have to do during the apprenticeship.”
We hope that our potential junior employees have enjoyed the day. Our colleagues for sure did, and maybe we will see one or the other of the group again at WACHTEL in a couple of years.
Every year WACHTEL recruits motivated graduates as apprentice for mechatronic engineer, mechatronic engineer for cooling or administrative business assistant. WACHTEL gives young people a chance to enter job life since 1989. As a traditional family company it is very important to us to give young people perspectives and offer new chances.
