Newsletter November 2015

Dear customers and friends of WACHTEL,

An eventful 2015 is drawing to an end. A welcome opportunity for us to take a look back at the last months which were full of positive changes contributing to the modernization of our traditional company.

We presented various innovations (e.g. our new wood-fired oven BONFIRE and improved bakery oven models on our newly designed trade fair booth at the iba in Munich. This booth concept was then also implemented successfully at the BAKEPOL in Poland afterwards, so that both trade fairs gave uplift to our team and substantiated the national and international presence of WACHTEL. The overall positive outcome is that we were able to increase total annual sales 2014/2015 by 10 %.

Online marketing is becoming more and more important: we relaunched our website and the English and German version went online in October. Don’t forget to visit the website and discover our new design. We will also make the site available in Polish, Russian, Spanish, French and Mandarin for our worldwide customers during the next months. WACHTEL and our premium products will thereby increasingly open up foreign markets and become more known globally.

The ongoing modernization of the company led to various personal changes: the long time managing directors Uwe Kesselhut and Rüdiger Weskamp retired and the new board of directors is now complete: David Holzwarth is the commercial director responsible for processes, IT/electronics and services. Volker Sturmeit is the responsible person for global production (including construction and production). In order to ensure the competitiveness of WACHTEL for the long term, we have also recruited additional young and promising employees.

At our headquarters in Hilden near Dusseldorf our new administration building is well under way. On October, 27th we celebrated the laying of the foundation stone with our employees and the mayor of Hilden, Mrs. Alkenings. More information about this construction project can be found on the next page.

I wish you a successful Christmas season and remain

Sincerely yours,
Oliver Frey
