Instead of giving gifts to customers, the company uses the upcoming Christmas season as an opportunity to support the "StartEmPowerment" project of the Solingen refugee aid. True to the motto of the association "Together for each other," Saskia Frings of the refugee aid says, "I want to change the world a bit. That requires money, but money should never be given priority. "
The project enables refugees and other people in need, such as German long-term unemployed, to start a small business accompanied by helpers and specialists, especially in the so-called micro-market section. Ten enterprises have been offering various products and services since the beginning of December. In addition to a tailor’s shop, a barber shop, a second-hand shop, there is also the Café Caramello. The micro-market works as a kind of start-up center. The individual entrepreneurs pay a small rent for the respective work area. "My gift is to bring things and people together who would not have met under other circumstances," Saskia Frings continues. For Oliver Frey, owner and CEO of WACHTEL GmbH, it is very important to think of people who did not have an easy year: "The initiative here in Solingen is a great idea. As a family business, we attach great importance to supporting where we see potential and commitment. This is such a place. "
This Christmas, WACHTEL is expanding the charity project: "We also want to give customers and interested parties the chance to participate in the project and thus become part of a good cause," says Oliver Frey. For example, on our website, we offer customers the opportunity to participate in the fundraising campaign by subscribing to the newsletter - WACHTEL is donating an additional 10 euros to the Solinger refugee aid for each new application. The registration is completely free and can be revoked at any time.
WACHTEL is pleased about all participations and the associated donations.
